Welcome to the Parent Teacher Organization!

Gatewood PTO is a non-profit organization made up of all Gatewood families, staff members and Board members.

Our purpose is to:

• Promote and enrich the education, welfare, and cultural awareness of Gatewood Elementary School scholars through educational programs and volunteer resources.
• Provide a social community for the student body and their families by promoting and organizing school activities.
• Promote open communication and cooperation among teachers, parents, the district, and the community.

What we really do:

• Raise funds to supply our classrooms with those little extras.
• Supplement the classroom curriculum with art and music programs, and relevant field trips.
• Organize fun schoolwide events to build community and school spirit.
• Support teachers and staff through a variety of volunteer activities.

Meeting Dates

All meetings are held in-person and virtually. The agenda, and virtual link, will be sent out via the Gatewood weekly newsletter and in an email from the PTO.

Gatewood’s PTO Board is composed of six members elected annually at the May PTO meeting.
